Drawer boxes (also known as sleeve boxes) consist of an outer sleeve and a pull-out inner tray. A physical drawer box mockup allows you to fine-tune the sliding mechanics and ensure the unboxing experience feels exactly right for the recipient.

The construction of a drawer box hides several technical pitfalls. If the sleeve is made just a quarter of a millimeter too tight, the drawer risks jamming when the packaging absorbs ambient humidity. If it is made too loose, the container loses its premium feel. A physical prototype ensures the tolerances are dialed in perfectly.
